A Service Book of Days

Greetings to those who serve!

i frequent many various links and sites that are service oriented and i often glean such wonderful treasures! along the way i have encountered the idea of a "Book of Days". This is based upon the idea of keeping track of your life and making each day into something special. We often spend our days ruminating over our yesterdays or planning for tomorrow...but a book of days can aid in our taking stock of our present. How does this relate to service? We can only give what we have resident within us Now. i can not give what i was yesterday nor what i will be. It is a fine practice to seize the Moment, to find the Joy in the day you are in and to begin the practice of living life out loud.

i invite each of you dear readers to join me on this adventure, perhaps in keeping your own written book of days, but also in daybooking online with me! Here is how to join the project!

Read the following prompts:

  • Outside my window... (weather, what do you hear, what do you see?)
  • my thoughts...
  • Today's Quote...
  • i am thankful for...
  • From my service training... (any skills, training etc; notes you want to share this week)
  • From the kitchen... (menu for the week, what are you cooking?)
  • i am wearing...
  • i am creating... (crafts, sewing etc;)
  • my adventures this week... (where are you going this week?)
  • Becoming well read... (What are you reading this week?)
  • i manifest and co-create... (what are your hopes, dreams, and prayers this week)
  • Todays Melody... (what music are you listening to? even if it's just the sound of a bird...)
  • One of my favorite things...
  • further plans for this week...
  • Still....life (share a picture you've taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)
Once a week on Monday you will respond to the above prompts.. more is better. Post your response on your blog or website.
Mention my blog and offer a link back to the main page of my blog. This way others can participate in the project as well! http://servicesavoirfaire.blogspot.com/

2. Copy the "permalink" ONLY from your post, not the link to the front page of your blog.

3. Come back here and add your permalink to the Mister Linky box. This is the second box. In the first box where it lists "your name"...please only place your name, if you add a link it will mess up the HTML to your page.
i hope you join us, and remember the more you share in your Book of Days the more interesting this will become!
