Nail Care
Your nails maybe small but they are an important part of your body. Imagine yourself with no nails, how will that look like? Despite the importance of the nail though, it always amazes me how many people (especially guys) who don't give a rat's ass about it, while some thinks it's really complicated and they can't afford a pedicure or a manicure. The truth is, maintaining healthy nails is easy. They are naturally healthy without much care... relatively. Spend just 20 minutes a week on your nails and you'll see a significant difference. What does a beautiful set of nails mean to you? Your nail indicates your general health. If you nails cracks easily and dull, you are guaranteed to be unhealthy. A set of healthy nails to me, is just as important as a soft shiny hair and even smooth supple skin. Important Nails DOs and DONT's 1. When your nail gets too long, never clip them short, instead use an emery board and file them. Always file them in one direction, instead of back and forth 2. If you ever apply nail polish, use them only occasionally. Although there are no health effects, frequent users can experience their nails turning slightly yellowish. If your nails are already yellowish, you can dip your nail into lemon juice for a few minutes to lessen the stain. 3. After washing your hand with soap, use a moisturizer and cream on your fingers because soap tends to contain drying agents. This also applies after a bath. 4. Apply garlic for 10mins once a week to kill germs on your nails. 5. You can rub lavender oil on your cuticles to maintain your nail's health and give it an awesome fragrance. 6. If your long nail chips, file them. Waiting for it to heal or covering it with bandage will only make things worse. If You Have Weak And Brittle Nails Weak nails need extra care. Do not use nail polish remover more than twice a month and you do use them, avoid those that contain acetone. Instead of removing your nail polish, you can touch up. If you want to apply enamel, paint a layer of ridge-filling base coat before applying color polish. Always keep your nails dry and do not let it stay in water for too long. The Most Important Thing To Do As I have said, your nails reflect the overall health of your body. To have a beautiful set of nails, the best way is to improve your health. You can start drinking hair and nail supplement. The usual increase intake of vegetables and fruits while decrease intake of meat still hold true. It is always better to go organic if you can afford them. Organics have up to 5 time more nutrients and vitamin in them. To really boost your health, you can eat whole food supplement like Goji berries, Spirulina, Chorella and many others. Yes, protein can make your nail stronger if that's what it is lacking, but a lack of protein intake is rare is the America. Increasing its intake often does help.

Internal Beauty- Essence of The Soul
"Beauties in vain their pretty eyes may roll, Charm strikes the sight but- merit wins the soul."
Gold is a precious metal that glitters beautifully. But all that glitters is not gold. Thus, outwardly a man may look innocent but he may be cruel at heart. Face is no more the index of the mind. Appearances are generally deceptive. Beauty is the essence of life but inner beauty is the essence of the soul. Who knows that a person with a beautiful face may have an ugly heart? Sometimes it so happens that a gentle hearted person appears to be rogue but in fact he is not. The face does not speak often anything about the mind.
The person who is beautiful from within is blessed with an aura and fullness that external beautification will never find. Your thoughts, your values make up your inner beauty as if they are pure they give life a better meaning. External beauty fades with time, but internal beauty is with you forever. Real beauty is not the physical beauty all the time. It lies in human character and human heart. Handsome is he who handsome does. Beauty is short lived. It fades away too soon. But the beauty of the heart is eternal joy giving and ever growing gentility of heart and nobility of character are the hallmarks of one's personality.
Mahatma Gandhi was thin, lean and not very a very handsome person. But he showed to the whole world that his noble deeds were things of beauty. Lal Bahadur Shastri was a short stature man but he proved to be a strong man and could give a tough resistance to a formidable enemy.
The real test of man lies in his deeds and not his words, in his character and not in his appearance. Now all the expressions like dress, gait may be considered deceptive. We should be guided by the factual things and not by the outward looks.
"Inner beauty gives you a richness which outer beauty alone can't accomplish."
What is Beauty?
Beauty is defined as the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit.
Everyone perceives beauty as something different. Some may find objects such as roses and dewdrops on spider webs as beautiful, others see who a person is by their actions as beautiful, and still others yet define beauty by the outer looks of a person as beauty.
None of these people are individually wrong about what beauty is. However, how YOU see beauty may affect several things in your daily life. Do you concern yourself with your body image? Do you think your perception of your looks is accurate? Or do you choose to find beauty in the things in your daily life?
Personally, shaia has issues with her self-image; however, watching her daughter grow into a little baby with a personality has shown her that there is more to life and to beauty then looks.
Over the course of this journey, shaia will outline and discuss several types of beauty. Some may be physical, some may be inside you, and some may be one of many things people find beauty in.
While our opinions may not meet eye to eye, be assured that you may see life differently after awhile and you may even finding yourself stopping to smell the roses! Please feel free to leave any and all comments on this or any other blog. shaia will be sure to read every comment. Also if you have any ideas or something you would like to read about in one of the blogs feel free to share!
